Event LocationDate(s)Type
 Colorado Summer Mountain Adventure 2025

The event will be held on Friday July 11h through Sunday July 13th 2025.

Event coordinator:  Dave Breggin,  BlueHummer@earthlink.net

We will spend a good bit of time above 10,000 feet!  This is a great way to beat the summer heat.  We will be running trails on National Forest & BLM land to the west of Denver.  Exact trails will be determined at the event so we can accommodate everyone.  We have a huge network of trails to choose from with all levels of difficulty. Trails are usually hard dirt with imbedded rock, some loose rock, not much mud but a little rain can change everything.  Most trails are forested, so mild pin-striping is always possible.

Some Notable Information:

1.              Driver’s meeting each morning at the departure point (TBA). Be fueled up and have a lunch packed each trail day. Bring extra water and snacks.  Be prepared for long trail days.

2.              Trail communication:  Instead of CB Radios, we will be using FRS radios for this event.  These radios are inexpensive, have similar range and better clarity than CB, and no license is required.  (They are compatible with GMRS radios, for those that have them.)  If you do not have an FRS radio, we will loan you one for the event.

3.              Be certain that your truck is well maintained and that it is in good operational condition.

4.              This year we plan to do Red Cone and Jenny Creek trails. Theese trails both require a Colorado Parks & Wildflife Pass for alpl vehicles. The event registration fee will cover the $ 29.00 cost of this annual poass. Passes will be distributed at the morning drivers meeting. This pass is also good for entry into all Colorado State Parks.

Due to low registration, this event will be classified as a "local" event and will be supported by Mod Mafia.

WINDROCK SUMMER 2025

We are headed back to one of our favorite venues with 300+ miles of off-road trails on 72,000 acres in the beautiful Tennessee Mountains.  The park has plenty of different trails for all types of vehicles and adrenaline levels, plus beautiful mountain scenery around every corner. Learn More  If you select Learn More and go to the Park’s website you can register prior to the event.  We recommend registering prior to the event because the General Store can get very busy most mornings and just delay our heading to the trails.

This event is all about the trails, off-roading, and Camaraderie.  We will be kicking up mud and crawling over rocks.

The event hotel will be the Double Tree in Oak Ridge located at 215 S. Illinois Ave.  We do not have a block of rooms reserved so you need to make your reservation as soon as you can. Cost is $ 134.00 per night per room with 1 King bed or 2 Queen beds. Reservations must be received by our Cut off deadline of 6/26/2025.

Guests can still call the hotel directly at 865-481-2468 and refer to the group name.

  • Be sure to pack lunch and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Some extra snacks and a lawn chair for sitting when we lunch on the trail would be a plus.
  • A CB for communication is required – and makes the event more fun and easier.  Inform your trail leader if you do not have CB communication.
  • Be certain that your truck is well maintained and that it is in good operational condition. Bring likely spare parts and tools if you have them.
  • Be prepared for long trail days (food, water, fuel, clothing), you never know what might happen.

In Durango we will be running Northern New Mexico trails like Grim Reaper and Secret! Self-guided trips are also available to some breathtaking HIGH-ALPINE passes, ghost towns and historic trails near Ouray & Telluride, Colorado.
